Spring has sprung and most media promotes different diet fads this time of year. One that comes to mind quickly is "cleansing". So what is the truth about cleansing diets? Honestly, our bodies are pretty smart and if we treat them right, we will not have many problems. However, buying fancy powders, etc are never a good idea. If it is not something you can do for life you should likely stay away.
What we recommend for a "cleanse":
- Eat less processed foods
-Drink at least 9 cups of water per day
- Aim for 5 servings of whole fruits and veggies per day
